We planned to do an exploration trip to the mountains of #tenerife with camera, ropes and the Jeep using only dirt tracks 🙂 we departed early and went to the pk29 track in la orotava.

After some hours driving and no cars on the track, we were above the clouds. We were crossing some old lava flows from Teide when we stopped because there were things shining all around us…

So we got out of the car and started exploring and everything was full of obsidian and pine trees growing between the old lava. So the next logical.action was to set up a suspension point and tie@alicemisswunderland to take some pics 🙂

It is difficult to tie at an obsidian lava field. Everything cuts 🙂 I am not superhappy about the position. Tk should be lower and additional rope to the feet would have been a good idea but our rope set was very limited 🙂 I used an extra rope to tie a block of pure obsidian to the to and the legs 🙂 but @alicemisswunderland looks amazing 🙂

Suspension over a obsidian field with @alicemisswunderland

We did a last picture of @alicemisswunderlandover a ground made of pure obsidian and then we continued exploring. The idea was to b able to reach chinyero volcano, that erupted last time in 1909.

We left the obsidian field and continued through the track heading to chinyero volcano, looking for a tree for doing some suspension with @margout_darko@alicemisswunderland

We arrived to arenas negras volcano when the sun was setting and all the clouds were coming. So i did a super fast tie with @margout_darko in a naka inspired style.

After this pic, there was not enough light so we went to our 4wd and started the way back through the dirt track 🙂

I untied @margout_darko with the help of @alicemisswunderland and we ran to the jeep. The sun was behind the mountain, but not under the horizon so we drove through the dirt track until we were above the clouds. We stopped near another volcanic cone and walked to the top. The sun was gone, but the landscape was completely amazing. After a lot.of km, exploration, ropes and pictures, we enjoyed the view, the absolute silence, the wind and the smell of the pines. And we decided that the next day we will explore near the coast.
