If you go to the astronomical observatory at Izaña and you take the dirt track to 7 fuents volcano, and you keep going, you arrive to a junction. If you continue to the south, you can be on the dirt track for hours, and at some point you will arrive to barranco de albarderos. In the way there you cross a ravine that was filled with lave from a recent eruption, and it is really interesting. At some point, a super bad track full with rocks goes uphill. You will need a proper 4×4 with a low range gear (not a suv, not a 4wd), and you can continue until a HUGE tree is blocking the road. Well, you can not call it road. At that place it is more like rocks everywhere.

You will be at around 2040m altitude and close to 28°14’01.1″N 16°33’13.1″W. And no near town, road or house. But the views are amazing.

The area still have some pine trees, despite the altitude, and the terrain is awesome. So, being careful with the nature, we looked for a place for doing some ropes, and here is the result:
